The
real strength of Pevianifrutta, is the new settlement of Ispica
(RG) realized in 1999. It includes 4,000 Sq. meters which house
a plant for carrots processing, equipped of two hydro-coolers.
The packaging centre, one of the most modern and biggest of
Europe, has a production capacity of 300 tonnes a day and succeeds
in meeting the customers’ demands, with a brief but strong
promotion campaign.
The proximity of the packaging
centre to Pachino (SR) has brought the development of such cultivation
as, cherry tomatoes, courgettes and aubergines also controlled
in the system of integrated agriculture that may count on the
collaboration of companies specialised in hothouse and open
field cultivation supported by the Pevianifrutta’s technicians.
Finally Pevianifrutta
also concentrates on the production and processing of new
and bissextile potatoes. All these activities are supported
by a modern plant, while the value of its products is increased
by a packaging able to meet the demands of the national and
foreign major distributors.
