The production areas of Pevianifrutta s.r.l. are located in three
different areas in Italy: in Veneto, Chioggia (VE), in Lazio, Fiumicino
(Rome) and in Sicily, Ispica (RG).

Chioggia
This town is located in the province of Venice and is renowned for its
production of carrots and radicchio. Here Pevianifrutta distributes
its products throughout Europe, thanks to its packaging centre of 3,000sqm
and a daily working capacity of 2,500 ton.
Thanks to its cultivation of an area of 100 HA, based on
innovative concepts of integrated pest management system and with its own
method that reduces the use of plant protection products of the 70%
compared to the maximum level permitted by the Italian law, Pevianifrutta
represents the modern concept of the short supply chain and
therefore it is able to control all the production phases ensuring the end
user the authenticity of its products.

Fiumicino
In Fiumicino, close to Rome, Pevianifrutta owns a firm and a cultivable
area of 20 HA. They are produced here carrots controlled by the integrated
pest management system and a harvesting period from January to February.

Ispica
Pevianifrutta’s strength is actually the Ispica plant, realized in the
province of Ragusa in 1999, with 6,000 covered square meters and a carrots
processing plant equipped with two hydro-coolers. The packaging
centre, among the largest and most modern in Europe, develops a working
capacity of 300 ton per day, meeting the demands of customers in a short but
intense campaign.
The proximity of the packaging centre to Pachino (SR) has led to the
development of new cultivations such as tomatoes, zucchini and melons,
hot peppers and potatoes. Also these cultivations are conceived in a
context of integrated pest management products, cooperating with firms
specialized in greenhouses and open fields cultivations, followed and
supported by Pevianifrutta’s technical staff.
We have been cooperating for years with the Italian and foreign
supermarket chains in various projects of the sector. The numerous
investments both in the production and conditioning plant, together with
our sales staff allow us to represent the new model of short supply
chain.
